Experimental Study on Creep Characteristics and Mechanisms of Wenzhou Soft Soil

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering
This study investigates the creep behavior of Wenzhou marine soft soil through 1D and triaxial creep tests, revealing that the secondary consolidation coefficient initially increases then stabilizes with stress level, decreases with OCR, increases with ...

Stability of MC Carbide Particles Size in Creep Resisting Steels [PDF]

open access: yesMetalurgija, 2006
Theoretical analysis of the dependence microstructure creep rate. Discussion on the effects of carbide particles size and their distribution on the base of accelerated creep tests on a steel X20CrMoV121 tempered at 800 °C.

Torsion system for creep testing with multiple stress reversals [PDF]

open access: yes, 1969
Torsion system proves exploratory data on accelerated creep due to multiple stress reversals. Torsional testing of tubular specimens is best suited for reversed stress creep tests since large strains are obtainable while maintaining specimen ...

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Study on symmetric creep model based on creep curves and parametric sensitivity analysis

open access: yesMeitan kexue jishu
In order to obtain the creep characteristics of the surrounding rock of the Dianzhong water diversion tunnel and to study the long-term stability of the surrounding rock of the tunnel, a fully automated triaxial developed by Wuhan Institute of ...

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Numerical Simulation of Non-Stationary Parameter Creep Large Deformation Mechanism of Deep Soft Rock Tunnel

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2022
The accelerated creep plays an important role in the disasters of soft-rock tunnels under high stress. However, most of previous studies only involved attenuation creep and uniform creep.

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Simulations of aging and plastic deformation in polymer glasses

open access: yes, 2007
We study the effect of physical aging on the mechanical properties of a model polymer glass using molecular dynamics simulations. The creep compliance is determined simultaneously with the structural relaxation under a constant uniaxial load below yield ...

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.
