Accumulated Plastic Strain Evaluation of Steel Tube for Umbilical Cables
Volume 3: Pipeline and Riser Technology; Ocean Space Utilization, 2008This paper presents the tests performed for the qualification of the level of accumulated plastic strain (APS) to be respected by manufacturing and installation of SAF 2507 steel tube umbilicals. The manufacturing and installation processes for steel tube umbilicals are carried out through repetitive cycles of coiling and uncoiling the tubes or ...

A Plasticity Model for Cyclic Strain Accumulation
Journal of Applied Mechanics, 1971A general plasticity model is developed which is able to predict a cyclic strain accumulation phenomenon, sometimes called cyclic creep. To assess the consequences of the phenomenon for nonhomogeneous stress states, simple forms of the model are used in the analysis of two idealized structural elements.

Simulation of plastic strain accumulation during thermal cycling of TiNi alloy
Materials Today: Proceedings, 2017Abstract The Volkov and Evard microstructural model describing the functional properties of TiNi shape memory alloys was modified to simulate plastic strain variation during thermal cycling of the TiNi alloy under constant stress through the temperature range of the martensitic transformation.
