Cyclic plastic behavior and springback prediction of QP980 high strength steel in roll forming

open access: yesCailiao gongcheng
In the roll forming, the sheet metal will experience multiple bending processes. The nonlinear hardening behavior and cyclic plastic behavior of high strength steel during multiple bending deformation, such as Bauschinger effect and cyclic hardening ...

On the Fractal Distribution of HII Regions in Disk Galaxies

open access: yes, 2008
In this work we quantify the degree to which star-forming events are clumped. We apply a precise and accurate technique to calculate the correlation dimension Dc of the distribution of HII regions in a sample of disk galaxies.

Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Systematic Decoupling Grid-Forming Control for Utility-Scale Inverter-Based Distributed Energy Resources in Weak Distribution Grids

open access: yesIEEE Open Access Journal of Power and Energy
Existing grid-forming inverter control schemes for distributed energy resources (DERs) primarily rely on active power (P)-frequency (f) and reactive power (Q)-voltage (V) droop mechanisms that are tailored for highly inductive transmission grids. However,

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Incremental Forming of Polymeric Sheet Printed by Fused Deposition Modeling [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Advanced Design and Manufacturing Technology, 2019
Single point incremental forming (SPIF) and fused deposition modeling 3D printing (FDM) are two methods of rapid prototyping. Each method has its own pros and cons.

Semi-geostrophic particle motion and exponentially accurate normal forms

open access: yes, 2005
We give an exponentially-accurate normal form for a Lagrangian particle moving in a rotating shallow-water system in the semi-geostrophic limit, which describes the motion in the region of an exponentially-accurate slow manifold (a region of phase space for which dynamics on the fast scale are exponentially small in the Rossby number).

The nature of slow dynamics in a minimal model of frustration-limited domains

open access: yes, 2003
We present simulation results for the dynamics of a schematic model based on the frustration-limited domain picture of glass-forming liquids. These results are compared with approximate theoretical predictions analogous to those commonly used for ...

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...
