This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

Ulcer-forming colon cancer can develop cavity-forming metastatic lung tumors
A 67-year-old man with abdominal pain and vomiting was referred to our hospital for the treatment of ileus. Enhanced computed tomography (CT) showed marked dilatation of the ileum and a presumed cecal tumor.

New 9.9-GHz methanol masers [PDF]
The Australia Telescope Compact Array (ATCA) has been used to make the first extensive search for the class I methanol masers at 9.9 GHz. In total, 48 regions of high-mass star formation were observed.

Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

Applications of the Gurson’s model in sheet metal forming
Recent advances in the modelling of metals encompass modelling of metals structural inhomogeneity, damage, porosity, twinning/untwining and non-local and second order effects. This presentation is focused on modelling the void growth in ductile fractures.

Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...
