The Development of ACE for Discovery II

SAE Technical Paper Series, 2000
<div class="htmlview paragraph">This paper offers some insight into the design and development of the Active Cornering Enhancement system introduced for the first time on Land Rover Discovery II, launched in the final quarter of 1998.</div> <div class="htmlview paragraph">The design of the system was targeted to meet the special ...

The ACES II program system

International Journal of Quantum Chemistry, 1992
ACES II, a new program system for ab initio electronic structure calculations is described. The strengths of ACES II involve the use of many-body perturbation theory (MBPT) and coupled-cluster (CC) theory for calculating the energy, geometry, spectra, and properties of small- to medium-sized molecules.

Ac loss minimum in type II superconductors

Physics Letters A, 1980
Abstract Theoretical predictions with respect to a minimum in the ac losses in type II superconductors are compared with experimental results on Nb-50% Ti and Nb-10% Mo. Extensions of the theory are suggested to explain the deviations.

ac-loss valley in type-II superconductors

Physical Review B, 1992
Hysteresis losses W have been calculated as a function of temperature T, bias field ${\mathit{H}}_{\mathit{b}}$, and amplitude ${\mathit{h}}_{0}$ for planar geometry in the critical-state framework with ${\mathit{j}}_{\mathit{c}}$=\ensuremath{\alpha}(T)/${\mathit{B}}^{\mathit{n}}$ for n=0, 1/2, and 1 in the range ${\mathit{H}}_{\mathit{b}}$/${\mathit{h}

Some equivalents of AC in algebra II

Algebra Universalis, 1998
[For Part I see ibid. 36, No. 4, 564-572 (1996; Zbl 0902.04002).] It is shown that the Axiom of Choice is equivalent to the statement: Any quotient group of any abelian group has a selector. Further, the Multiple Choice Axiom is equivalent to the statement: Any filter in any boolean ring has a well-ordered filterbase.

ACE Inhibitors and Angiotensin II Receptor Antagonists

2005
The biological actions of angiotensin II (ANG), the most prominent hormone of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS), may promote the development of atherosclerosis in many ways. ANG aggravates hypertension, metabolic syndrome, and endothelial dysfunction, and thereby constitutes a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease. The formation of

Comparison of AC Motors to an Ideal Machine Part II—Non-Sinusoidal AC Machines

IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications, 2019
This two-part article compares the torque performance of 12 types of ac machines based on the same surface current density, tooth flux density, and rotor dimensions. Part II examines the torque capability of machines more recently developed which utilize the wave shaping capability of a solid-state frequency inverter.
