Salicylanilide Acetates: Synthesis and Antibacterial Evaluation

A new series of salicylanilide acetates was synthesized and evaluated for their in vitro antifungal and antituberculotic activity. Some of the evaluated compounds possessed comparable or better antifungal activity than a fluconazole standard.

Establishing an assay to evaluate d‐amino acid oxidase enzyme kinetics and inhibition using WST‐8 redox dye

This study investigated a novel WST‐8‐based assay for evaluating d‐Amino acid oxidase (DAO) inhibitors. We confirmed its effectiveness using known inhibitors and found that uremic toxins possess relatively weak inhibitory activity compared to existing drugs.

Sterol composition from inflorescences of Hieracium pilosella L.

The fraction of sterol acetates from the inflorescences of Hieracium pilosella has been isolated in the typical way from petroleum ether extract. By means of the weight method the total amount of sterols was determined (0.2659%).
