Condensation of anhydrides or dicarboxylic acids with compounds containing active methylene groups. Part 1: Condensation of phthalic anhydride with acetoacetic and malonic ester [PDF]

open access: yes
Phthalic anhydride was condensed with acetoacetic ester in acetic anhydride and triethylamine solution, and when phthalyl chloride was reacted with sodium acetoacetic ester compounds were formed of the phthalide and indandione series: phthalylacetoacetic

Digital design and optimization of the integrated synthesis and crystallization process using data‐driven approaches

open access: yesAIChE Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract This study presents a data‐driven modeling and multi‐objective optimization framework for an integrated section of continuous pharmaceutical manufacturing, focusing on flow synthesis and continuous crystallization. To address data scarcity and trade‐offs among product quality, efficiency, and environmental impact, the framework combines ...

Fire and heat resistant laminating resins based on maleimido and citraconimido substituted 1-(diorgano oxyphosphonyl) methyl -2,4- and -2,6- diaminobenzenes [PDF]

open access: yes, 1987
A class of fire and heat resistant bisimide resins prepared by thermal polymerization of maleimido or citraconimido substituted 1-((dialkoxyphosphonyl) methyl)-2-4 and -2,6-diaminobenzenes are described. The polymer precursors are prepared by reacting 1-(

Large‐Scale Chemoenzymatic Synthesis of a Glycophorin A Tetrasaccharide Motif and Its Analogues

open access: yesAsian Journal of Organic Chemistry, EarlyView.
A large‐scale chemoenzymatic method was developed to synthesize natural and modified analogues of the Glycophorin A tetrasaccharide with either C9 or C5 terminal α‐2,3‐sialic acid variants. Selective α‐2,6‐sialylation of galactosamine was achieved by maintaining acetylation of the galactose during the course of enzymatic reactions. The products can aid

Synthesis of 2-(6-Acetamidobenzothiazolethio)acetic Acid Esters as Photosynthesis Inhibitors

open access: yesMolecules, 1998
The synthesis and photosynthesis-inhibiting activity of 13 new 2-(6-acetamidobenzothiazolethio)acetic acid esters are reported. The new compounds were prepared by acetylation of 2-(alkoxycarbonylmethylthio)-6-aminobenzothiazoles with acetic anhydride ...

On Some p-Substituted Benzoic Anhydrides [PDF]

open access: yes
Some p-substituted benzoic anhydrides were prepared from corresponding p-substituted benzoic acid and acetic anhydride by the ordinary method. p-Chlorobenzoic anhydride (mp 190 -2°C)was obtained in almost quantitative yield and p-nitrobenzoic anhydride ...

Microscale Tattooing of Hydrogels and Cells: Benzoxaborole‐Driven Microcontact Printing (µCP) on Glycosylated Surfaces

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, EarlyView.
We demonstrate a polymer brush‐assisted microcontact printing (µCP) to pattern glycosylated surfaces. We used a benzoboraxole derivative as an ink for surface patterning. With this novel method, we could functionalize wafer surfaces possessing glycopolymer films, surface‐glycosylated polymer microparticles as well as cellular interfaces.
