Histone Demethylase UTX Suppresses Tumor Cell Proliferation by Regulating Stress Granules
These findings indicate that cytoplasmic UTX forms puncta and co‐localizes in stress granules (SGs) upon various stresses. UTX TPR‐domain‐dependently and demethylase‐activity‐independently destabilize SGs by binding G3BP1, the SG hub protein, to disrupt SG network, thus affects tumorigenesis.

KAT7‐acetylated and cytoplasm‐translocated G‐protein GαS enhances IL‐6 effect and drives HCC progenitor cell progression. Abstract Background and Aims Hepatocarcinogenesis goes through HCC progenitor cells (HcPCs) to fully established HCC, and the mechanisms driving the development of HcPCs are still largely unknown.

Arylamine N-acetyltransferase and arylalkylamine N-acetyltransferase in the mammalian pineal gland.
Amine N-acetylation in the pineal gland is of special importance because it is the first step in the synthesis of melatonin from serotonin. In the present study the N-acetylation of arylamines and arylalkylamines by homogenates of rat and sheep pineal glands was investigated.

TaPPR13, a PPR protein family gene in wheat is activated by TaBZR2 to enhance drought stress tolerance and photosynthetic capacity. It achieves this by interacting with TaAOR1 and TaSIG5 to improve antioxidant defense and regulate chloroplast gene expression. Abstract The wheat (Triticum aestivum) brassinazole‐resistant 2 (TaBZR2) gene is identified as

L14‐8, a small molecule derived from the marketed drug ezetimibe, potently inhibits advanced prostate cancer independent of androgen receptor signaling. L14‐8 binds PLK1, triggering its ubiquitin‐mediated degradation. This activates TP53‐dependent transcription of SAT1, inducing ferroptosis and suppressing tumor growth in prostate cancer patient ...

Functional implications of structural homologies between chloramphenicol acetyltransferase and dihydrolipoamide acetyltransferase [PDF]
Comparisons between the amino acid sequences of the dihydrolipoamide acetyltransferase (E2p) of Escherichia coli and several chloramphenicol acetyltransferases (CATs) have revealed some well-aligned homologies which may be indicative of an underlying structural homology between the catalytic (acetyltransferase) domain of E2p and CAT.

Multiple Acquisitions of XopJ2 Effectors in Populations of Xanthomonas perforans
Type III effectors (T3Es) are major determinants of Xanthomonas virulence and targets for resistance breeding. XopJ2 (synonym AvrBsT) is a highly conserved YopJ-family T3E acquired by X.
