The Geological Record of Ocean Acidification
Acid History As human activity continues to pump nearly 50-fold more CO 2 into the atmosphere than any existing natural sources, the oceans absorb it. Over time, this vast quantity of excess oceanic CO 2 is expected to decrease oceanic pH and have marked effects on calcifying marine

Disorders of distal acidification
The final site of titration of the urinary buffers is the collecting tubule. When this process fails urinary acid excretion is unable to match the 1 to 1.5 mEq/kg body weight of nonvolatile acid generated daily as a consequence of the high protein diet consumed by most Westerners.

Dexime: A Selectively Enzyme‐Degradable Hydrogel for Protein Therapeutic Release
A dextrin‐oxime hydrogel (dexime) is produced using ketone or aldehyde modified dextrin and tetra‐oxyamine modified poly(ethylene glycol). The rheological and mechanical properties of dexime are tunable. Dexime is injectable, cytocompatible, hydrolytically stable, and selectively degradable by α‐amylase.

3D Printing of Stretchable, Compressible and Conductive Porous Polyurethane for Soft Robotics
A 3D‐printable porous dopamine‐polyurethane acrylate elastomer results in conductive, stretchable, and compressible structures that can be metallized in situ through catechol‐mediated silver reduction. The resulting material function as both compliant soft robot with a and strain sensors without complex assemblies, enabling fully 3D‐printed soft ...
