Rapid real-time detection method of ACLSV and ASSVd for apple quarantine field
Plant Biotechnology Reports, 2021Apples are produced using a high-density plantation system using M.9 rootstock in Korea. However, the virus infection rate of apples tends to be high because the rootstocks produced from virus-infected mother stocks were widely used and vegetative propagation based on the grafting is common with scion cultivars.

This study presents the incidence of viruses in cultivated almond in Greece and Cyprus. For this reason a pair of primers was designed to be used for the detection of PNRSV, PDV and ApMV. The aim of this work, was also to study the variablity of the polymerase of PDV and of the capsid protein of ACLSV isolates in almond.

Ιn this study the molecular variability of Apple chlorotic leaf spot virus (ACLSV) in cultivated, ornamental and wild species of the Rosaceae family, was investigated. The serological method ELISA was unreliable and two RT-PCR methods were combined in order to increase its sensitivity.
