The Prostatic Acid Phosphatase (ACPP) Gene Is Localized to Human Chromosome 3q21-q23 [PDF]
Human prostatic acid phosphatase (ACPP) has been used as a diagnostic marker for prostate cancer. It is synthesized under androgen regulation and secreted by the epithelial cells of the prostate gland. We have confirmed the previous assignment of the ACPP gene to chromosome 3 by probing a panel of 25 human-Chinese hamster somatic cell hybrids, and we ...

Acyl carrier proteins (ACPs) are central to many primary and secondary metabolic pathways. In E. coli fatty acid biosynthesis (FAB), the central ACP, AcpP, transports intermediates to a suite of partner proteins (PP) for iterative modification and elongation.

Finding Biomass Degrading Enzymes Through an Activity-Correlated Quantitative Proteomics Platform (ACPP) [PDF]
The microbial secretome, known as a pool of biomass (i.e., plant-based materials) degrading enzymes, can be utilized to discover industrial enzyme candidates for biofuel production. Proteomics approaches have been applied to discover novel enzyme candidates through comparing protein expression profiles with enzyme activity of the whole secretome under ...

RpoS‐dependent sRNA RgsA regulates Fis and AcpP in Pseudomonas aeruginosa
Molecular Microbiology, 2016SummaryRgsA is a phylogenetically conserved small regulatory RNA (sRNA) in Pseudomonas species. This sRNA has been shown to be directly controlled by the major stationary phase and stress sigma factor σS (RpoS), and also indirectly regulated by the GacS/GacA two‐component system. However, the role and the regulatory targets of this sRNA remain unclear.

ACPP: A Web Server for Prediction and Design of Anti-cancer Peptides
International Journal of Peptide Research and Therapeutics, 2014Cancer is one of the most common diseases, which causes more mortality worldwide. Despite the presence of several therapies against cancer, peptides as therapeutic agents are gaining importance. Experimental studies report that peptides containing apoptotic domain exhibit anticancer activity. Hence in this study, we propose a computational method using

ACPP: An effective privacy preserving scheme for precise location sharing in internet of vehicles
2017 IEEE International Conference on Information and Automation (ICIA), 2017Location-aware privacy protection is a key issue in mobile applications. And the issue is more concerned in Internet of Vehicles (IoV) because of the needs for more accurate location information. Conventional location hiding methods are not suitable to be used in IoV scenario, since they blur the location information fuzzily. In this paper, the dynamic

Nucleotide sequence of human prostatic acid phosphatase ACPP gene, including seven Alu repeats.
Biochemistry and molecular biology international, 1994The protein-coding sequence of the human ACPP gene was shown to be interrupted by nine introns. The length of intron 1 was at least 5kb, while the sizes of introns 2 to 9 were estimated to be 3.4Kb, 0.5Kb, 5.5Kb, 5.0Kb, 2.0Kb, 5.0Kb, 2.5Kb and 3.5Kb, respectively. Therefore, the human ACPP gene has the size of more than 40kb.
