Gliosis and Glioma Distinguished by Acridine Orange [PDF]
Abstract:Acridine orange fluorochrome of nucleic acids was applied to sections of cerebral tissue from 20 patients showing acute or chronic reactive gliosis. The results were compared with the findings in 39 well differentiated and malignant astrocytomas.

Interferon-alpha-2b induces autophagy in hepatocellular carcinoma cells through Beclin1 pathway
Objective To determine whether Interferon-alpha-2b (IFN-α2b) can modulate the autophagic response in hepatocellular carcinoma cells. Methods Hepatocellular carcinoma cells were treated with IFN-α2b. Autophagy was assessed by acridine orange staining, GFP-

Tumor‐tropic human mesenchymal stem cells (hMSCs) were used as delivery vehicles for magnetotheranostic gold–iron oxide nanoflowers. Magnetic particle imaging of the iron component demonstrated widespread intratumoral distribution and sustained retention in contrast to injection of naked nanoflowers.

We have developed an intracellular crystalline polymerization strategy involving acid‐catalyzed imine condensation to synthesize COFs in lysosomes. The generation of COFs in lysosomes damages their integrity, activates iron species, and induces immunogenic ferroptosis, thereby enhancing antitumor immunotherapy.

Evaluation of the Acridine Orange Fluorescence Technique and the Indirect Fluorescent Antibody as Diagnostic Tests for Tropical Theileriosis [PDF]
This study was carried out to evaluate the use of acridine orange fluorescence technique on blood slides as a rapid diagnostic test for tropical theileriosis in comparison with the Giemsa-stained thin blood film technique.

Role of the Recombination Zone in Organic Light‐Emitting Devices
This review summarizes the critical role of the recombination zone in organic light‐emitting diodes (OLEDs). We highlight that broadening the recombination zone in OLEDs based on emissive layers with balanced charge transport and high photoluminescence quantum yields provides a promising route toward achieving both long operational lifetime and high ...

High-throughput quantitative detection of basal autophagy and autophagic flux using image cytometry
Quantitative assessment of changes in macro-autophagy is often performed through manual quantification of the number of LC3B foci in immunofluorescence microscopy images. This method is highly laborious, subject to image-field selection and foci-counting

3D Printed Multimaterial Microfluidic Transistors
We introduce a biocompatible, high resolution photopolymer resin that closely mimics the Young's Modulus (elasticity) and reversible stretchability (no hysteresis) of poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS), enabling the fabrication of microfluidic transistors (i.e., microvalves capable of proportional amplification) by multimaterial stereolithography (mSLA ...
