Succinic acid production from cellobiose by Actinobacillus succinogenes

Bioresource Technology, 2013
In this study, cellobiose, a reducing disaccharide was used to produce succinic acid by Actinobacillus succinogenes NJ113. A final succinic acid concentration of 30.3g/l with a yield of 67.8% was achieved from an initial cellobiose concentration of 50 g/l via batch fermentation in anaerobic bottles.

Succinic acid production from sucrose by Actinobacillus succinogenes NJ113

Bioresource Technology, 2014
In this study, sucrose, a reproducible disaccharide extracted from plants, was used as the carbon source for the production of succinic acid by Actinobacillus succinogenes NJ113. During serum bottle fermentation, the succinic acid concentration reached 57.1g/L with a yield of 71.5%.

Economical succinic acid production from cane molasses by Actinobacillus succinogenes

Bioresource Technology, 2008
In this work, production of succinic acid by Actinobacillus succinogenes CGMCC1593 using cane molasses as a low cost carbon source was developed. In anaerobic bottles fermentation, succinic acid concentration of 50.6+/-0.9 g l(-1) was attained at 60 h using an optimum medium containing molasses pretreated with sulfuric acid, resulting in a succinic ...

Fermentative production of succinic acid from straw hydrolysate by Actinobacillus succinogenes

Bioresource Technology, 2009
In this work, straw hydrolysates were used to produce succinic acid by Actinobacillus succinogenes CGMCC1593 for the first time. Results indicated that both glucose and xylose in the straw hydrolysates were utilized in succinic acid production, and the hydrolysates of corn straw was better than that of rice or wheat straw in anaerobic fermentation of ...
