Electrocapillary Modulated Interfacial Tension Amplifies Liquid Metal Transduction
This study presented an electrocapillary‐enhanced magnetohydrodynamic pumping strategy that harnesses the Lorentz force and interfacial tension modulation of liquid metal droplets to achieve amplified fluidic power. The system enabled low‐voltage, self‐oscillating fluidic transduction with enhanced pressure and flow generation, supporting compact ...

On the Damping of Ringing Affecting Power Transistors by Means of Active Gate Drivers
Fast power transistors require a tight control of their switching trajectory to exploit them at full speed, without degrading reliability and delivered electromagnetic emission figures of merit. By using active gate drivers in place of conventional ones, the switching trajectory can be shaped to reduce current and voltage overshoots, as well as the ...

Interface Effects in Ultrathin Silicon on Insulator Films
This work establishes a systematic framework to discriminate how bulk and interface phenomena affect charge transport in ultrathin P‐doped silicon‐on‐insulator (SOI) films. For Si films below 15 nm, electrical characterization demonstrates that interface states drive charge transport, shifting the metal‐insulator transition (MIT) critical dopant ...

All‐solution‐processed, low‐cost extended short‐wavelength infrared photodetectors are realized by coupling colloidal HgTe quantum dots to plasmonic In2O3:Sn,F nanocrystals. Localized surface plasmon resonances boost and spectrally tailor light absorption between 1500 and 3000 nm, enabling responsivities above 40 A W−1.

Active gate drivers for high-frequency application of SiC MOSFETs
The trend in the development of power converters is focused on efficient systems with high power density, reliability and low cost. The challenges to cover the new power converters requirements are mainly concentered on the use of new switching-device technologies such as silicon carbide MOSFETs (SiC). SiC MOSFETs have better characteristics than their
