Metastasis on pause: How dormant tumor cells stay hidden within the tumor microenvironment and evade immune surveillance

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dormant cancer cells can hide in distant organs for years, evading treatment and the immune system. This review highlights how signals from the surrounding tissue and immune environment keep these cells inactive or trigger their reawakening. Understanding these mechanisms may help develop therapies to eliminate or control dormant cells and prevent ...

First Light for the New 30 m Parabolic Radio Telescope at ArQi: Implications for Space Weather Monitoring

open access: yesThe Astronomical Journal
Interplanetary scintillation (IPS) phenomenon behaves as twinkling of a compact radio source due to scattering in the solar wind. Here we report the first identification of IPS signal by a new parabolic dish antenna with its diameter of 30 m, observed on

Contribution of magnetotail currents to Dst index during different intensity magnetic storms: a global MHD model study

open access: yesFrontiers in Astronomy and Space Sciences
The Disturbance Storm Time (Dst) index serves as a critical indicator for quantifying geomagnetic storm intensity; however, the precise contribution of magnetotail currents to its formation remains inadequately characterized.

Engineering tandem VHHs to target different epitopes to enhance antibody‐dependent cell‐mediated cytotoxicity

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Tandem VHH targeting distinct EGFR epitopes were engineered into a monovalent bispecific antibody (7D12‐EGA1‐Fc) with more potent ADCC without increasing affinity to EGFR. Structural modeling of 7D12‐EGA1‐Fc showed cross‐linking of separate EGFR domains to enhance CD16a engagement on NK cells.

Application of a Grid-constrained U-shaped Neural Operator in Real-time Solar Corona Magnetic Field Extrapolation

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal Supplement Series
In this study, we propose a neural network framework, called the Grid-constrained U-shaped Neural Operator (GC-UNO), for real-time extrapolation of the coronal magnetic fields of active regions (ARs).
