By assembling cortical‐hypothalamic circuits, we show that cortical input protects hypothalamic neurons from fatty acid‐induced damage, which activates PGC1α to boost mitochondrial function. This reveals a cortico‐hypothalamic axis that defends against metabolic stress.

LMP is responsible for lysosomal dysfunction in IDD. The lipid composition changes in the lysosomal membrane, mediated by PLA2G15, are the cause of LMP. The C/EBPα significantly promotes PLA2G15 expression under PA overload stress. Inhibition of PLA2G15 alleviates PA‐induced LMP by inhibiting the hydrolysis of lysosomal membrane phospholipids. Simvastatin synergizes with cisplatin in cisplatin‐resistant cervical cancer cells through suppression of the caveolin‐1‐mediated PI3K/AKT signaling axis. ABSTRACT Cervical cancer treatment is often hindered by the emergence of cisplatin (DDP) resistance. Increasing evidence has indicated that statins possess anti‐tumor and chemosensitization potential

Suzuki–Miyaura coupling (SMC) is a powerful C─C bond forming method, but stoichiometric bases cause salt byproducts and protodeboronation. Base free SMC overcomes these issues and expands the range of compatible substrates. ABSTRACT Suzuki‐Miyaura coupling reaction (SMC) is an efficient method for constructing C─C bonds.

Synthesis of 1,1-dioxobenzo[b]thiophene-2-ylmethyloxycarbonyl (Bsmoc) protected N-methyl amino acids by reduction of Bsmoc-5-oxazolidinones and their use in peptide synthesis [PDF]
The synthesis of Bsmoc-N-Me amino acids is presented. The first step involves p-toluenesulfonic acid (TsOH) catalyzed condensation of a Bsmoc-amino acid with paraformaldehyde to furnish N-Bsmoc-5-oxazolidinone under MW irradn.
