Catalytic hydrophosphorylation of alkyl- and acylhydrazones
Russian Chemical Bulletin, 2010N-Boc- and N-acylhydrazino phosphonates were obtained for the first time by hydrophosphorylation of the appropriate hydrazones of aliphatic and aromatic aldehydes and heterocyclic and aliphatic ketones in the presence of [tetra(tert-butyl)phthalocyanine]aluminum chloride as a catalyst.

Stimuli-Responsive Anion Transport through Acylhydrazone-Based Synthetic Anionophores
Organic Letters, 2021Photoswitchable acylhydrazone-based synthetic anionophores are reported. Single-crystal X-ray structure and 1H NMR titration studies confirmed the chloride binding in solid and solution states. The ion transport activity of 1a was greatly attenuated through a phototriggered E to Z photoisomerization process, and the photoisomerized deactivated state ...

Crystalline Acylhydrazone Photoswitches with Multiple Mechanical Responses
Crystal Growth & Design, 2019The advancement of our understanding of stimuli-responsive molecular crystals has led to the realization that they hold great yet unexplored potential as adaptive materials. Although molecular crystals that exhibit a single mechanical response to a single input stimulus are now abundant, crystals that are capable of response to multiple stimuli are ...

Acylhydrazones as M1/M3 selective muscarinic agonists
Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry Letters, 1996Abstract To improve receptor binding affinity and to investigate functional selectivity of 2,8-dimethyl-1-oxa-8-azaspiro[4.5]decan-3-one acetylhydrazone 2 at muscarinic receptor subtypes, a series of acylhydrazones A was synthesized. The SAR indicates that the binding affinity in the pirenzepine assay (M1) correlates well with lipophilicity ...

Palladium-Catalyzed Multicomponent Carbonylation of Halides to Acylhydrazones
The Journal of Organic ChemistryThe current methods for synthesizing acylhydrazones are limited by their multistep processes, narrow substrate scope, low selectivities, and poor yields. Herein, a fundamentally novel approach to bioactive acylhydrazones was developed based on the palladium-catalyzed multicomponent tandem condensation carbonylation of halides with aldehydes and ...
