Towards a performance theory of robust adaptive control
We consider standard robust adaptive control designs based on the dead-zone and projection modifications, and compare their performance w.r.t. a worst case transient cost functional penalising the L∞ norm of the output, control and control derivative. If

The nonlinear robust stability theory of Georgiou and Smith [IEEE Trans. Automat. Control, 42 (1997), pp. 1200–1229] is generalized to the case of notions of stability with bias terms.

Etoposide induces DNA damage, activating p53‐dependent apoptosis via caspase‐3/7, which cleaves PARP1. Dammarenediol II enhances this apoptotic pathway by suppressing O‐GlcNAc transferase activity, further decreasing O‐GlcNAcylation. The reduction in O‐GlcNAc levels boosts p53‐driven apoptosis and influences the Akt/GSK3β/mTOR signaling pathway ...

For network graphs, numerous graph features are intimately linked to eigenvalues of the Laplacian matrix, such as connectivity and diameter. Thus, it is very important to solve eigenvalues of the Laplacian matrix for graphs.

An adaptive optimisation scheme for controlling air flow process with satisfactory transient performance [PDF]
A non-identifier-based adaptive PI controller is designed using a gradient approach to improve the performance of a control system when device aging and environmental factors degrade the efficiency of the process.

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Adaptive Locomotion of Planar Snake Robots: Body Shape Control and Path-Following
openSnake robots constitute a class of hyper-redundant, articulated systems inspired by their biological counterpart. Their many degrees of freedom make them challenging to control, but provide unique locomotion capabilities in irregular and challenging ...

The PI3Kδ inhibitor roginolisib (IOA‐244) preserves T‐cell function and activity
Identification of novel PI3K inhibitors with limited immune‐related adverse effects is highly sought after. We found that roginolisib and idelalisib inhibit chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) cells and Treg suppressive functions to similar extents, but roginolisib affects cytotoxic T‐cell function and promotion of pro‐inflammatory T helper subsets to a

A decade of change: maternal mortality trends in Sudan, 2009–2019
Background Unacceptably high levels of preventable maternal deaths persist across sub-Saharan Africa. Due to limited research on maternal mortality in Sudan, a thorough examination is crucial to develop effective reduction strategies.
