Adaptive Spacecraft Control: Stability, Performance, and Robustness
AIAA Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Conference, 2013This paper designs a low-frequency learning adaptive control architecture for a flexible spacecraft. The proposed architecture involves a new and novel controller structure involving a modification term in the update law. In particular, this modification term filters out the high-frequency content contained in the update law while preserving stability ...

Adaptive robust stabilization of rigid spacecraft in presence of disturbances
Proceedings of 1995 34th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 2002In this paper the problem of robust stabilization of rigid spacecraft subject to a gravity-gradient disturbance has been considered. Different control laws have been derived either in the cases of knowledge of the inertia matrix of the system or when only estimations of its parameters are available. It is assumed that the entire state of the system can

Robust Lyapunov stability results and adaptive systems
1981 20th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control including the Symposium on Adaptive Processes, 1981Lyapunov stability results are summarized which are robust in character. These results are applied to examine the behaviour of adaptive identification and control algorithms applied to non-stationary plants where certain persistency of excitation conditions are satisfied.

Study on a performance-adaptive controller with robust stability
2017 56th Annual Conference of the Society of Instrument and Control Engineers of Japan (SICE), 2017This paper presents a design method of a performance-adaptive controller concerned with the robust stability. A control performance in steady state is important in process control systems because the performance strongly affects qualities of products.

This article presents a robust adaptive control scheme for a discrete-time plant that is subjected to both coprime factor perturbations and unknown exogenous disturbances. With the proposed control scheme, all the variables in the closed-loop system are bounded in the presence of the perturbations and disturbances, and an a priori computable upper ...

Stability and performance of nonlinear robust adaptive control
Proceedings of 1995 34th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 2002A class of adaptive control schemes, motivated from nonlinear systems theory, has been proposed for minimum phase linear time invariant plants. Under certain assumptions on the plant transfer function, these schemes guarantee uniform signal boundedness and good transient and steady state response for the regulation or tracking error.

Robust Stability Analysis of Adaptive Missile Autopilots
AIAA Guidance, Navigation and Control Conference and Exhibit, 2008This paper uses a robust stability framework to analyze the robust stability of an adaptive missile autopilots. The autopilot topology used is a state feedback architecture representing a baseline control, designed using optimal control theory, and is augmented with an adaptive increment to further extend the system's stability and performance. Command

Robust Adaptive Control: Conditions for Local Stability
1983 American Control Conference, 1983The question is examined of when an adaptive control system is robust to modeled dynamics and unknown bonded disturbances. Conditions are presented that insure the existence of such robustness properties, but only locally; i.e., restrictions are placed on the behavior of signals in the ideal, perfectly tuned adaptive system. Local L ?
