Combination of partially non-distinct beliefs: The cautious-adaptive rule
The combination rule is critical in an evidence based fusion process. The conjunctive rule is most common eventhough when the cognitive independence – distinctness – assumption is often questionable. A new combination rule is tested here in both discrete

Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...

ENHANCEMENT OF ITERATIVE TURBO DECODING FOR HARQ SYSTEMS [PDF]
This paper presents a new method for stopping the iterative turbo decoding. First, a bit-level convergence test using the cross-entropy analyses is used to select non converged bits and establish a simple and effective stopping rule.

Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.
