Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...

The adaptive tasks and trade-offs that drive the human value system
Human values inform behaviors, attitudes, and beliefs, but what shapes the human value system? Here, we employ Pareto analysis on the European Social Survey data (N = 411,904).

Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A1 (ALDH1A1) is a cancer stem cell marker in several malignancies. We established a novel epithelial cell line from rectal adenocarcinoma with unique overexpression of this enzyme. Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 led to increased invasive capacity and metastatic potential, the inhibition of proliferation activity, and ultimately ...

Adaptive learning for complex valued data
In this paper we propose a variant of the Generalized Matrix Learning Vector Quantization (GMLVQ) for dissimilarity learning on complex-valued data. Complex features can be encountered in various data domains, e.g. Fourier transformed mass spectrometry or image analysis data.

Quaternion-valued nonlinear adaptive filters
Advances in vector sensor technology have created a need for adaptive nonlinear signal processing in the quaternion domain. The main concern of this thesis lies in the issue of analyticity of quaternion-valued nonlinear functions. The Cauchy-Riemann-Fueter (CRF) conditions determine the analyticity in the quaternion domain which proved too strict to be

Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Implementation of Adaptive Core Value
This research aims to describe how the Adaptive Core Value learning process can explain the Adaptive performance profile of Basic Training participants for Agenda II Civil Servant Candidates using the classical training model. The learning process for participants aims to understand the concept of Adaptiveness and actualize adaptive values in carrying ...

Targeted modulation of IGFL2‐AS1 reveals its translational potential in cervical adenocarcinoma
Cervical adenocarcinoma patients face worse outcomes than squamous cell carcinoma counterparts despite similar treatment. The identification of IGFL2‐AS1's differential expression provides a molecular basis for distinguishing these histotypes, paving the way for personalized therapies and improved survival in vulnerable populations globally.

Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

On the Adaptive Value of Moralized Revulsion from an Evolutionist Perspective
The article addresses the role played by “moralized revulsion”, understood as the emotional disgust we feel against individuals and social practices that we deem to be the object of moral evaluation, from an evolutionist perspective.
