A Semiparallel Full-Adder in IMPLY Logic
IEEE Transactions on Very Large Scale Integration (vlsi) Systems, 2020Passive implementation of memristors has led to several innovative works in the field of electronics. Despite being primarily a candidate for memory applications, memristors have proven to be beneficial in several other circuits and applications as well.

Design and Implementation of High Speed Hybrid Carry Select Adder
2021 International Conference on Advances in Electrical, Computing, Communication and Sustainable Technologies (ICAECT), 2021Adder is considered the principle unit of every arithmetic and logical operation. Carry select adder (CSLA) is an adder that helps to speed up operations of several arithmetic function. To further improve the speed, an idea of incorporating more than one

Low-Power and Fast Full Adder by Exploring New XOR and XNOR Gates
IEEE Transactions on Very Large Scale Integration (vlsi) Systems, 2018In this paper, novel circuits for XOR/XNOR and simultaneous XOR–XNOR functions are proposed. The proposed circuits are highly optimized in terms of the power consumption and delay, which are due to low output capacitance and low short-circuit power ...

Summary: It is widely known that a computer adder can be checked by a completely independent circuit using check symbols that are residues of the numbers modulo some base. This paper describes such a residue checking system and shows, moreover, that independent adding and checking circuits are possible only with systems of this type.

Binary carry-propagating addition can be efficiently expressed as a prefix computation. Several examples of adders based on such a formulation have been published and efficient implementations are numerous. Chief among the known constructions are those of Kogge and Stone (1973) and Ladner and Fischer (1980).

RAP-CLA: A Reconfigurable Approximate Carry Look-Ahead Adder
IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems - II - Express Briefs, 2018In this brief, we propose a fast yet energy-efficient reconfigurable approximate carry look-ahead adder (RAP-CLA). This adder has the ability of switching between the approximate and exact operating modes making it suitable for both error-resilient and ...
