The human gut microbiome across the life course
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Parallel Pseudorandom Number Generation Using Additive Lagged-Fibonacci Recursions
We study the suitability of the additive lagged-Fibonacci pseudorandom number generator for parallel computation. This generator has a relatively short period with respect to the size of its seed.

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

The pyruvate generator, which causes activation of respiration by extra‐mitochondrial Ca2+, is also present and functional in rat brainstem mitochondria, as it is in other brain regions. This finding is confirmed by experiments with a fully reconstituted malate–aspartate shuttle (MAS).

On additive cyclic codes over F_4+uF_4
This article studies additive cyclic codes over R = F4 + uF4, where u^2 = 0. We obtain generator polynomials for these codes and provide necessaryand sufficient conditions for additive codes to be self-orthogonal and self-dual codes over R with respect ...

Z(2)Z(4)-Additive Cyclic Codes
In this paper, we study Z(2)Z(4)-additive cyclic codes. These codes are identified as Z(4)[x]-submodules of the ring R-r,R-s = Z(2)[x]/ x Z(4) [x]/. The algebraic structure of this family of codes is studied and a set of generator polynomials for this ...
