Morita–Baylis–Hillman modifications on hydroformylated (R)-limonene [PDF]

open access: yesRoyal Society Open Science
We report the sequential hydroformylation of (R)-limonene followed by Morita–Baylis–Hillman (MBH) coupling to give two new MBH adducts derived from methyl acrylate (adduct 1, 32% isolated yield) and acrylonitrile (adduct 2, 95% isolated yield).

Pyridoxamine inhibits dopamine-induced α-synuclein oligomerization through scavenging neurotoxic dopamine quinone [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Reports
Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a neurodegenerative disease characterized by loss of dopaminergic neurons causing reduced levels of dopamine (DA), and the presence of Lewy bodies, whose main component is fibrillar α-synuclein (α-Syn).

Preparation of a Latent Accelerator for Hot Curing of Epoxy Resin and Study of Its Effect on Mechanical Properties of Carbon Fiber Epoxy Composites [PDF]

open access: yesعلوم و تکنولوژی پلیمر, 2023
Hypothesis: Some adducts were prepared from three kinds of DGEBA-based epoxy resins, phthalic anhydride and an alkanol amine accelerator, as a latent accelerator for one-pot epoxy/dicy systems. These adducts come with two kinds of accelerators: DMP-30 A,

Assessing the Validity of Normalizing Aflatoxin B1-Lysine Albumin Adduct Biomarker Measurements to Total Serum Albumin Concentration across Multiple Human Population Studies

open access: yesToxins, 2022
The assessment of aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) exposure using isotope-dilution liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LCMS) of AFB1-lysine adducts in human serum albumin (HSA) has proven to be a highly productive strategy for the biomonitoring of AFB1 exposure.

Formation and Identification of Six Amino Acid - Acrylamide Adducts and Their Cytotoxicity Toward Gastrointestinal Cell Lines

open access: yesFrontiers in Nutrition, 2022
Acrylamide (AA) is a food contaminant, and amino acids are suggested to mitigate its toxicity by forming adducts. The emergence of acrylamide adducts may cause underestimation of acrylamide exposure level as well as trigger new safety problems.

Mechanism of Acrylamide Elimination by Cysteine and Its Application in Potato Chips

open access: yesShipin gongye ke-ji, 2022
L-cysteine can significantly reduce the content of acrylamide and form new substances. To clarify the reduction mechanism and apply it in potato chip processing, a high purity cysteine-acrylamide adduct was prepared.

Formation and Identification of a 5-(Hydroxymethyl)-2-Furfural-Zingerone Condensate and Its Cytotoxicity in Caco-2 Cells

open access: yesFrontiers in Nutrition, 2022
5-(Hydroxymethyl)-2-furfural (HMF), an active furfural, widely exists in various food products and has potential safety risks. It can be eliminated by occurring aldol condensation with α-unsubstituted ketones in the presence of catalysts.

Process Conditions in Preparation of MgCl2 Adduct on Crystalline Structure of the Support in ZN Catalyst [PDF]

open access: yesعلوم و تکنولوژی پلیمر, 2010
MgCl2/C2H5OH adducts with constant relative ratio of 1/3 were prepared and kept at 120oC for different lengths of times of 5, 10, 20, 30, 50, 90,120 and 220 h. Then the samples were quenched and analyzed by XRD and BET.
