Infection by Adenovirus Type 2 in a Short-Tailed Bat in Mexico. [PDF]
A short‐tailed female bat (Carollia perspicillata), 1 year old, died without apparent signs of the disease while on display at an amusement park in the Municipality of Montemorelos, Nuevo León, Mexico. Amphophilic nuclear inclusion bodies were observed in the intestinal epithelia, corresponding to the virus of the adenovirus genera. Although there have

Oral and Faecal Viromes of New Zealand Calves on Pasture With an Idiopathic Ill-Thrift Syndrome. [PDF]
Since 2015, an idiopathic ill‐thrift syndrome featuring diarrhoea and, in some cases, gastrointestinal ulceration has been reported in weaned New Zealand dairy calves. Similar syndromes have been described in the British Isles and Australia, but investigations in New Zealand have yet to identify a specific cause. Notably, the viromes of affected calves

Transmission routes of respiratory viruses among humans [PDF]
Respiratory tract infections can be caused by a wide variety of viruses. Airborne transmission via droplets and aerosols enables some of these viruses to spread efficiently among humans, causing outbreaks that are difficult to control.

Emergent Strain of Human Adenovirus Endemic in Iowa
We evaluated 76 adenovirus type 7 (Ad7) isolates collected in Iowa from 1992 to 2002 and found that genome type Ad7d2 became increasingly prevalent. By 2002, it had supplanted all other Ad7 genome types.
