Relationship between Adenoviruses and Canine Hepatitis Virus [PDF]
IT was shown by Kapsenberg1 and Heller and Salenstedt2 that infectious canine hepatitis virus (ICH) and adenoviruses possessed common complement fixing antigens. Heller and Salenstedt2 demonstrated five precipitin lines in Ouchterlony plates in the reaction between ICH and convalescent serum from a dog infected with ICH.

Novel adenoviruses detected in British mustelids, including a unique Aviadenovirus in the tissues of pine martens (Martes martes). [PDF]
Several adenoviruses are known to cause severe disease in veterinary species. Recent evidence suggests that canine adenovirus type 1 (CAV-1) persists in the tissues of healthy red foxes (Vulpes vulpes), which may be a source of infection for susceptible ...

Tropism-modification strategies for targeted gene delivery using adenoviral vectors [PDF]
Achieving high efficiency, targeted gene delivery with adenoviral vectors is a long-standing goal in the field of clinical gene therapy. To achieve this, platform vectors must combine efficient retargeting strategies with detargeting modifications to ...

An Update on Canine Adenovirus Type 2 and Its Vectors
Adenovirus vectors have significant potential for long- or short-term gene transfer. Preclinical and clinical studies using human derived adenoviruses (HAd) have demonstrated the feasibility of flexible hybrid vector designs, robust expression and ...

Ca2+‐Activated Cl− Channels: Do Bestrophins and TMEM16A Interact?
ABSTRACT Aim Ca2+‐activated Cl– conductances are present in many cell types and are important for regulating membrane potential as well as other cellular functions. TMEM16A is widely accepted as the principal molecular basis for Ca2+‐activated Cl– conductances, but also members of the bestrophin family may be important for some Ca2+‐activated Cl ...

Emerging Roles of Adenosine Metabolism in Astrocytes During Brain Injury
Adenosine, as a key metabolic and neurotransmitter in the brain, has become an important therapeutic target for improving the efficacy of immunotherapy for stroke. However, gaps in knowledge about its metabolic pathways have become a key factor limiting its clinical translation.
