Ultrathin (<10 nm) Electrochemical Random‐Access Memory that Overcomes the Tradeoff between Robust Weight Update and Speed in Neuromorphic Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, Volume 7, Issue 8, August 2025.
To address the tradeoff between synaptic linearity and operating speed, a Cu ion‐based ultrathin electrochemical random‐access memory is engineered using a 1.2 nm AlOx liner and 5 nm HfOx layer. The device exhibits fast and uniform weight updates under 50 μs pulses, along with long retention and high endurance, paving the way for robust synaptic units ...

Mechanistic Insights and Pharmacological Approaches for Nitrogen and Sulfur Mustards and Their Implications as Therapeutic Agents

open access: yesJournal of Applied Toxicology, Volume 45, Issue 8, Page 1417-1425, August 2025.
ABSTRACT Nitrogen and sulfur mustards, often acting as vesicants, have significant consequences for public health. Skin is a common site for exposure to these vesicants that can result in considerable morbidity and mortality. Given that the treatment options are limited, new insights into the mechanisms for the toxicity of these vesicants that can be ...

Zinc Chalcogenide Based Shell Layers for Colloidal Quantum Wells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, Volume 12, Issue 12, June 23, 2025.
A new synthetic route is developed for the synthesis of CdSe/ZnSe/ZnS multi‐shell nanoplatelets (NPLs) with emissions between 615 and 630 nm and photoluminescence quantum yields up to 90%. Control over the lateral size of the starting CdSe core enabled the narrowing of the emission linewidth to 20 nm.

Identification of a phenyl ester covalent inhibitor of caseinolytic protease and analysis of the ClpP1P2 inhibition in mycobacteria

open access: yesmLife, Volume 4, Issue 2, Page 155-168, April 2025.
Abstract The caseinolytic protease complex ClpP1P2 is crucial for protein homeostasis in mycobacteria and stress response and virulence of the pathogens. Its role as a potential drug target for combating tuberculosis (TB) has just begun to be substantiated in drug discovery research.

Hydrodeoxygenation of palm fatty acid distillate (PFAD) over natural zeolite-supported nickel phosphide catalyst: Insight into Ni/P effect

open access: yesCase Studies in Chemical and Environmental Engineering
Petroleum fuel is the primary source of energy today. Its use often causes environmental problems, one of them SOx gas emissions. Palm fatty acid distillate (PFAD) is a by-product of crude palm oil refining and has great promise to be developed as a ...

Effect of various silica-supported nickel catalyst on the production of bio-hydrocarbons from oleic acid

open access: yesInternational Journal of Renewable Energy Development
The conversion of fatty acids into bio-hydrocarbons can be carried out through a deoxygenation (DO) reaction. Catalytic deoxygenation of fatty acids can occur through three reaction pathways: decarbonylation, decarboxylation, and hydrodeoxygenation.

Empathetic solicitude attenuates the affective and sensory dimensions of CO2‐induced dyspnea: A randomized parallel arm experimental trial in healthy humans

open access: yesPsychophysiology, Volume 62, Issue 2, February 2025.
Abstract Dyspnea testifies to profound suffering in patients and its relief is a priority for caregivers. This can be achieved by correcting causative disorders (“etiopathogenic” approach) or targeting the dyspnea itself (“symptomatic” approach), as is done for pain.
