Do Globalization and Clean Energy Transitions Advance Sustainable Development? Evidence on CO2 Emissions From Costa Rica

Using annual data for Costa Rica from 1980 to 2023, this study investigates the long‐run effects of globalization, foreign direct investment (FDI), access to clean fuels and technologies for cooking, renewable energy consumption, and economic growth on CO2 emissions by employing DOLS, FMOLS, and CCR estimators.
