Sono‐Mechanogenetics: Linking Ultrasound Physics With Cellular Mechanobiology
Sono‐mechanogenetics links ultrasound physics with cellular mechanotransduction to enable noninvasive control of engineered biological systems. Acoustic forces generate distinct deformation modes that activate intracellular signaling pathways, which can be coupled to synthetic gene circuits to regulate diverse cellular functions, including gene ...

Epithelial tubes form through budding wherein coordinated apical constriction drives the inward folding of the tissue to form a nascent tube. Neighbor exchange and continued apical constriction elongate the tube (left images). The opposing activities of Myosin II (MyoII) driving these processes and Crumbs (Crb) limiting them control final tube ...

ABSTRACT Double‐stranded DNA coming from, for example, viruses, bacteria, or apoptotic cells is recognized by the cGAS‐STING signaling pathway comprising the cyclic GMP‐AMP synthase (cGAS) and the stimulator of interferon genes (STING) receptors. The pathway induces type I interferon response and activates transcription of interferon‐stimulated genes ...

Pathogenic Mechanisms of V. vulnificus and Its Role in the Development of Sepsis
Sorafenib attenuates urethral scar formation by inhibiting β‐catenin signaling in fibroblasts, which downregulates the SLC7A11/GPX4 antioxidant axis and triggers ferroptosis. This β‐catenin–ferroptosis coupling effectively suppresses fibrogenesis, highlighting sorafenib as a promising drug‐repurposing candidate for urethral stricture.
