The Sexually Dimorphic Adrenal Cortex: Implications for Adrenal Disease [PDF]
Many adrenocortical diseases are more prevalent in women than in men, but the reasons underlying this sex bias are still unknown. Recent studies involving gonadectomy and sex hormone replacement experiments in mice have shed some light onto the molecular basis of sexual dimorphism in the adrenal cortex.

Adrenal incidentaloma: what is it? Review 1
A review of the literature and the author’s own reflections are devoted to the issues of detecting various forms of pathology, which, being often benign, could exist for a long time, if not all life. The author proposes a definition of the term.

Editorial: Adrenal Cortex: From Physiology to Disease [PDF]
The Editorial on the Research Topic Adrenal cortex: from physiology to disease The adrenal gland plays essential roles in the control of body homeostasis, stress, and immune responses. The adrenal cortex represents up to 90% of the gland and is specialized in the production of adrenal steroids.
