Hemodynamic changes in pregnancies with impaired fetal growth: A systematic review and meta‐analysis

open access: yesActa Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica, EarlyView.
Maternal cardiovascular adaptation is altered in pregnancies complicated by impaired fetal growth. From the second trimester onwards, lower cardiac output and increased total peripheral vascular resistance emerge, highlighting the need for early hemodynamic monitoring and potential interventions in at‐risk pregnancies.

Dorsal Genital Nerve Stimulation as an Adjunctive Therapy to Control Neurogenic Detrusor Overactivity After Spinal Cord Injury

open access: yesArtificial Organs, EarlyView.
People with spinal cord injury (SCI) experience bladder overactivity, which can cause incontinence. Dorsal genital nerve stimulation (DGNS) can suppress overactivity, providing a longer duration to reach a toilet. People with SCI trialed home‐based DGNS for 8 weeks. DGNS was effective in the laboratory, and participants found home‐based DGNS acceptable.

Vasoreactivity as a Measure of Kidney Viability During Ex Vivo Normothermic Machine Perfusion

open access: yesArtificial Organs, EarlyView.
This study aimed to investigate the influence of warm ischemic injury on renal vascular responsiveness to vasoactive drugs during normothermic machine perfusion (NMP). We found that the vascular responses to dopamine and norepinephrine could be used as objective indicators to assess kidney viability during NMP.
