Clinical case seminar: Adrenocortical-pituitary hybrid tumor causing Cushing's syndrome
We describe the first case of an adrenocortical-pituitary hybrid tumor causing Cushing's syndrome in a 17-yr-old boy. Adrenal vein sampling confirmed elevated secretion of both cortisol and ACTH precursors from a right adrenal mass, whereas pituitary ...

Virilizing adrenocortical oncocytoma in a toddler
Functioning adrenocortical oncocytomas are extremely rare and most reported patients are 40–60 yr of age. To our knowledge, only 6 cases of functioning adrenocortical oncocytomas have been reported in childhood.

ABSTRACT Background Advances in molecular and cell biology have led to a paradigm shift in cancer management. We implemented next‐generation sequencing (NGS) at our community‐based academic cancer center over a decade ago. We sought to optimize the use of genomics and understand its impact in identifying actionable genomic alterations to determine ...

Heterosexual precocity: rare manifestation of virilizing adrenocortical oncocytoma
Adrenocortical oncocytomas are extremely rare, and most of the tumors are benign and nonfunctioning. To our knowledge, only 30 cases have been reported in English published studies, and most patients are 40 to 60 years of age.

Pediatric Pheochromocytoma With Rapid Cyclic Blood Pressure Fluctuations: A Case Report
ABSTRACT Cyclic blood pressure fluctuations in pheochromocytoma are extremely rare, and previously reported cases have been limited to adults. We report a 5‐year‐old boy with von Hippel–Lindau disease and a left adrenal pheochromocytoma who developed rapid cyclic blood pressure fluctuations immediately after tracheal intubation.

Unusual Visualization of an Adrenal Carcinoma on NP-59 Scintiscan
[Iodine-131]6-beta-iodomethylnorcholesterol (NP-59) visualization of adrenocortical carcinoma is unusual. We describe a 17-year-old female with virilization and elevated plasma testosterone, dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate (DHEAS) and aldosterone ...

Outcomes of adult patients with Li‐Fraumeni syndrome and myeloid neoplasms
Abstract Background Li‐Fraumeni syndrome (LFS) is an inherited cancer predisposition syndrome. Hematologic malignancies are not considered LFS defining tumors, however, both acute lymphoblastic leukemia and therapy‐related myeloid neoplasms (MNs) in LFS are described. Treatment approaches and outcomes of MN in LFS need further evaluation.

Cytoskeletal Dynamics in Cancer: From Pathogenesis to Treatment
This review systematically addresses the fundamental roles of the cytoskeleton (actin filaments, microtubules, and intermediate filaments) in cancer progression. We focus on how cytoskeletal dynamics regulate tumor proliferation, metastasis, and programmed cell death, while also modulating the immune microenvironment. Understanding these mechanisms may
