Adrenomedullin(AM) is a potent hypotensive peptide originally isolated from human pheochromocytoma. AM exerts various biological actions such as vasodilation, bronchodilation and natriuresis, by stimulating cAMP production and increasing free Ca2+ levels through the specific receptors.
