Adsorption isotherms and hysteresis of proton adsorption by goethite [PDF]
The adsorption of H+ions by goethite is only partially reversible and the adsorption process is faster than desorption. The adsorptian isotherm shows two inflexion points at pH y,alues 7.5 and 9.5, which can be attributed to the existence of two ar more types of OH groups on the surface with different basic strengths.

Chromatin, which organizes DNA, changes its structure to adapt to stress like high oxygen levels (hyperoxia), which can damage cells. Researchers developed a technique to observe these changes and found variability in how different parts of chromatin remodel.

Interactions between cadmium and lead with acidic soils: Experimental evidence of similar adsorption patterns for a wide range of metal concentrations and the implications of metal migration [PDF]
The importance of high- and low-affinity surface sites for cadmium and lead adsorption in typical European and Asian soils was investigated. Adsorption experiments on surface and deep horizons of acidic brown (Vosges, France) and red loess soils (Hunan ...

The novelty of this study showed that the injection of exosomes produced from ADMSCs in combination with Roflumilast poses a more favorable therapeutic outcome for CKD induced by Adriamycin, compared to therapy with exosomes or Roflumilast alone. Roflumilast and exosomes treatment lowered the expression of the apoptotic, fibrotic, and inflammatory ...

The adsorption of adsorbable organic halide onto biological solids : a thesis submitted in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Technology in Environmental Engineering [PDF]
Chlorinated organic molecules may be removed from wastewaters by adsorption onto the biomass present in biological treatment systems. This study assessed the adsorption onto biological solids of Adsorbable Organic Halide (AOX) from two New Zealand kraft ...

This study demonstrates a novel, additive manufacturing approach to produce complex, porous tungsten carbide structures using water‐based direct ink writing/robocasting. Leveraging a modified commercial printer and heat treatment, the process yields lightweight, electrically conductive 3D architectures capable of supporting a mechanical load.

Ca2.5Ag0.3Sm0.2Co4O9 semiconductor materials are synthesized and produced in this study using the sol–gel and cold pressing techniques for thermoelectric generator applications. As template samples are added, the Seebeck coefficient and power factor values rise, peaking at 800 °C for Ca2.5Ag0.3Sm0.2Co4O9 at 274.47 μV K−1 and 0.58 mW mK−2, respectively.
