Luteinized Adult Granulosa Cell Tumor—A Series of 9 Cases

International Journal of Gynecological Pathology, 2011
Most adult granulosa cell tumors (AGCTs) consist of small-to-medium cells with scanty cytoplasm imparting a "small blue cell" appearance. We report 9 cases of luteinized AGCT, whose appearance differs from typical AGCT by the presence of abundant eosinophilic cytoplasm in at least 50% of tumor cells.

Characteristics of recurrence in adult-type granulosa cell tumor

International Journal of Gynecological Cancer, 2008
Granulosa cell tumor (GCT) of the ovary is a very rare neoplasm, which is characterized by an indolent clinical course. Thus, the clinical characteristics, optimal treatment, and follow-up protocols are not well established. The goal of this study is to evaluate clinical findings, prognostic factors, and recurrent features of GCT in Korean patients ...

Gonadal tumor with granulosa cell tumor features in an adult testis

Annals of Diagnostic Pathology, 2002
Granulosa cell tumor is almost exclusively an ovarian tumor. Rare cases of granulosa cell tumor have been reported involving the testes. We report a testicular gonadal stromal tumor with granulosa cell differentiation in a 54-year-old white man. The tumor was discovered by an ultrasound evaluation for left hydrocele.

Adult Granulosa Cell Tumors of the Testis

American Journal of Surgical Pathology, 2014
The clinicopathologic features of 32 adult granulosa cell tumors (AGCT) of the testis are presented. The patients were from 14 to 87 years of age (mean 40.0 y) and underwent orchiectomy (n=30) or wedge excision (n=2). None had endocrine-related symptoms.

Combined Adult Granulosa Cell Tumor and Mucinous Cystadenoma of the Ovary: Granulosa Cell Tumor with Heterologous Mucinous Elements

International Journal of Gynecological Pathology, 2005
We describe an unusual ovarian neoplasm in a 57-year-old woman composed of an admixture of mucinous cystadenoma and adult granulosa cell tumor (AGCT). In areas the two components were separate but elsewhere there was intermingling of the two elements. The combination of mucinous cystadenoma and AGCT has only rarely been reported.

Metastatic adult granulosa cell tumor mimicking a benign pancreatic cyst

Annals of Diagnostic Pathology, 2010
We report an unusual case of metastatic adult granulosa cell tumor in the head of pancreas mimicking a benign pancreatic cyst in a 43-year-old female. Clinically, it was considered a benign cyst of the pancreas based on its appearance by imaging and that repeated fine-needle aspiration and cytologic examination of cystic fluid failed to identify ...

Clinical Review of Adult Granulosa Cell Tumors of the Ovary

Gynecologic Oncology, 1995
Granulosa cell tumors are uncommon neoplasms that are characterized by their long natural history and for their tendency to recur years after an apparent clinical cure. As such they are difficult tumors to study. In the majority of cases, the initial therapy is surgical although the extent of the necessary procedure remains controversial.

Juvenile Granulosa Cell Tumor of Adult Testis: A Case Report

Urology, 2008
Juvenile granulosa cell tumor (JGCT) of the testis is a rare tumor and typically occurs in the testis of children aged 4 years or younger. This report describes a case of a 27-year-old man who presented with a JGCT in his right testis. Orchiectomy was performed. No recurrence was noted during an 8-year follow-up. This is the first reported case of JGCT

Adult granulosa cell tumor of the testicle.

The Canadian journal of urology, 2013
We report a rare case of adult granulosa cell tumor of the testis in a 68-year-old man. A case and literature review of the associated clinical features, histopathological characteristics and immunochemistry are presented. The tumor is typically slow growing but has a higher risk of malignancy when > 5 cm.

Sclerosing Peritonitis Associated With a Luteinized Adult Granulosa Cell Tumor

International Journal of Gynecological Pathology, 2012
Sclerosing peritonitis is an uncommon condition that has been reported in patients with luteinized ovarian thecomas, although some pathologists have suggested that the underlying ovarian pathology is not always neoplastic. We now report sclerosing peritonitis in a patient with an uncommon, luteinized variant of an adult granulosa cell tumor.
