Ablating adult neurogenesis in the rat has no effect on spatial processing: evidence from a novel pharmacogenetic model.

open access: yesPLoS Genetics, 2013
The function of adult neurogenesis in the rodent brain remains unclear. Ablation of adult born neurons has yielded conflicting results about emotional and cognitive impairments. One hypothesis is that adult neurogenesis in the hippocampus enables spatial

Female rats are resilient to the behavioral effects of maternal separation stress and exhibit stress-induced neurogenesis

open access: yesHeliyon, 2020
Early-life stress causes anxiogenesis and sensitivity of stress endocrine axis, facilitated by changes in the basolateral amygdala and hippocampal neurogenesis.

Small Extracellular Vesicles from Neural Cells: Physiological and Pathological Roles, and Potential in Neurodegenerative Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Neural cell–derived small extracellular vesicles (sEVs) are emerging as pivotal mediators in neurodegenerative diseases, exerting both pathogenic and therapeutic functions. This review synthesizes current evidence on how sEVs from distinct neural cell types regulate neurodegeneration, neuroprotection, biomarker discovery, and targeted drug delivery ...

Effects of Early-Life Stress on Social and Anxiety-Like Behaviors in Adult Mice: Sex-Specific Effects

open access: yesBehavioural Neurology, 2018
Stressful events in an early postnatal period have critical implications for the individual’s life and can increase later risk for psychiatric disorders.

Soft Ionic and Electronic Triboelectric Nanogenerators: Toward Attachable and Implantable Biomedical Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This review provides an overview of triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG)–based biomedical applications by classifying studies into electronic and ionic systems across attachable and implantable platforms. It summarizes key material choices, device structures, and working mechanisms that characterize current TENG‐based research, and outlines six future ...

Examination of the relationship between attachment styles, separation anxiety and rejection sensitivity in social anxiety disorder

open access: yesMedicine Science
Social anxiety disorder is a significant mental health illness that causes marked functional impairment. This study hypothesizes that rejection sensitivity, insecure attachment, and separation anxiety will be higher in people with social anxiety disorder

A Nano‐Interception Strategy for Chronic Heart Failure: Prussian Blue Nanoparticles Disrupt Fibroblast‐Immune Communication via CCL2 Sequestration

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A nano‐interception strategy disrupts pathogenic fibroblast–macrophage crosstalk in chronic heart failure. Scalable Prussian blue nanoparticles selectively sequester CCL2 via ultrahigh‐affinity binding, preventing CCR2+ macrophage recruitment and breaking a key fibro‐inflammatory circuit. This approach demonstrates robust efficacy in murine and porcine

[Examination of Adult Separation Anxiety and Bonding Styles in Patients with Panic Disorder Who Applied to a Psychiatric Clinic].

open access: yesTurk psikiyatri dergisi = Turkish journal of psychiatry, 2018
INTRODUCTION The attachment processes give us a theoretical frame work to understand the psychopathological development. Unsafe attachment type is often associated with the emergence of psychopathology in the later periods of life.

A Central Somatic Transmission Mediates Proprioceptive Facilitation of Muscle Pain

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Zhang et al. uncover a novel central mechanism for persistent muscle pain, in which TRPA1 sensitization in MeV proprioceptive neurons enhances somatic secretion. This, in turn, disinhibits descending pain control from neighboring noradrenergic locus coeruleus neurons via local GABAergic circuits, thereby promoting inflammatory muscle pain.

Mediation of Separation Anxiety in Psychological Distress and Insomnia in Parents Who Do Not Get Child Custody Due to Divorce

open access: yesBisma The Journal of Counseling
The divorce phenomenon often poses psychological problems for both the children and the parents. Most scientific studies are more focused on the impact of the divorces merely from the children’s side, not on the impact of divorce experienced by par-ents.
