Thermal lens investigation of the CdSe quantum dots using dual beam z-scan technique

open access: yesResults in Optics
We highlighted on the thermal lens (TL) effect of Cadmium Selenide quantum dots (CdSe QDs) using dual beam z-scan technique. The thermal lens nonlinear optical properties of CdSe QDs were investigated by applying the two CW laser beams (λ = 532 nm and λ =

Auditory Hyperresponsivity in Chronic Back Pain: A Randomized Controlled Trial of Pain Reprocessing Therapy

open access: yesAnnals of Neurology, EarlyView.
Objective Heightened sensitivity to noxious stimulation is a hallmark of chronic pain. Emerging evidence suggests heightened unpleasantness to non‐noxious (eg, auditory) aversive stimulation also characterizes chronic pain, but its magnitude, neural mechanisms, and treatment modifiability remain unknown.

Design of Experiments‐Based Optimization of Recovered Carbon Black–Reinforced Isobutylene–Isoprene Rubber in Comparison With Conventional Carbon Black Systems

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, EarlyView.
Optimized potential of rCB via DOE: recovered carbon black from end‐of‐life tires was assessed as a full substitute for conventional carbon black in IIR composites. DOE and response surface methodology optimized rCB loading, plasticizer, and sulfur contents. Hardness showed linear trends, while rupture energy was nonlinear.

1-loop matching of a thermal Lorentz force

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2021
Studying the diffusion and kinetic equilibration of heavy quarks within a hot QCD medium profits from the knowledge of a coloured Lorentz force that acts on them.

The tiger salamander as a promising alternative model organism to the axolotl for fracture healing and regenerative biology research

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract Scientists have been captivated by the ability to regenerate, focusing on uncovering the mechanisms of epimorphic regeneration and applying them to human medicine. The axolotl (Ambystoma mexicanum) has become the most intensively studied model in tetrapod regeneration research, particularly concerning limb regeneration.

Orchestrating the metastatic symphony: the role of extracellular vesicles in the epithelial–mesenchymal transition and pulmonary niche formation of breast cancer

open access: yesBiological Reviews, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The complexity of breast cancer (BC) lung metastasis lies in the capacity of tumour cells to interact efficiently with distant organs to promote colonisation, a process that involves the sophisticated coordination of inherent cellular plasticity and the remodelling of the distant microenvironment.

Reach and implementation of human and AI-assisted diabetic retinopathy screening models in primary healthcare settings in India

open access: yesScientific Reports
Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is a leading cause of preventable vision loss. While DR screening is critical, evidence on the reach and implementation of different screening models in primary healthcare settings is limited.
