Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Experimental analysis of alternative rider postures for low drag motorcycle design
The aerodynamic drag of a motorcycle greatly affects its energy efficiency, with the rider’s posture being a key factor in determining overall drag. This study presents a systematic comparative analysis of various rider postures through a multi-phase ...

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Unsteady Aerodynamic Interaction Between Rotor and Ground Obstacle [PDF]
The mutual aerodynamic interaction between rotor wake and surrounding obstacles is complex, and generates high compensatory workload for pilots, degradation of the handling qualities and performance, and unsteady force on the structure of the obstacles.

Numerical simulation of the airflow–rivulet interaction associated with the rain-wind induced vibration phenomenon [PDF]
Rain-wind induced vibration is an aeroelastic phenomenon that occurs on the inclined cables of cable-stayed bridges. The vibrations are believed to be caused by a complicated nonlinear interaction between rivulets of rain water that run down the cables ...

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Research on Unsteady Aerodynamic Interference for the Tiltrotor Aircraft in Hover
The high resolution numerical simulation for rotor/wing-body interaction flow-field in hover is crucial for the accurate prediction of aerodynamic performance of the tilt-rotor aircraft, and is the one of the important issues of helicopter aerodynamics ...
