Structural Studies on the O-Antigen of Aeromonas salmonicida
European Journal of Biochemistry, 1983Lipopolysaccharide from a strain of Aeromonas salmonicida salmonicida was isolated from cells by the aqueous phenol method in 2.3% yield (based on dry weight of bacteria). Hydrolysis of the lipopolysaccharide in 1% acetic acid afforded O-polysaccharide (19% by weight), core-oligosaccharide (12.2%) and lipid A (44.6%).

Characterization of Atypical Aeromonas salmonicida Different Methods
Systematic and Applied Microbiology, 1998Fifty two isolates of atypical Aeromonas salmonicida, recovered from a wide range of hosts and geographical locations, were heterogeneous in terms of molecular and phenotypic characteristics, and represented taxa which could not be accommodated by the current classification of four subspecies.

Aeromonadaceae Representative (Aeromonas salmonicida)
2012Aeromonas salmonicida is a significant pathogen of salmonids, and in its atypical form has spread into cyprinids and marine flatfish. Although Aeromonas salmonicida subsp. salmonicida is homogeneous, atypical isolates are more heterogeneous and do not fit into the current subspecies classification. Questions about the ecology of the organism remain but

AEROMONAS SALMONICIDA INFECTIONS IN SALMONIDS
2013Management of furunculosis remains a considerable clinical challenge, in part due to their ability to cause disease in the different salmonids, both in the culture systems and in the wild environment. Aeromonas salmonicida subsp. salmonicida is a rapidly spreading pathogen associated predominantly with skin infections in the salmonids with high ...
