Nonthermal plasma approaches for combating implant‐associated infections: A compendious review
Implant‐associated infections pose serious clinical challenges. Non‐thermal plasma (NTP) modifications overcome this bottleneck in distinct ways relative to traditional sterilization methods. Gas‐phase plasmas generate highly energetic species, UV radiation and reactive oxygen/nitrogen species (RONS), which alter the implant surface properties.

The key factors making the monzogranitic porphyry fertile for mineralization, including its high Cl, S, and H2O contents, high oxidation state, significant fluid exsolution, and multiple recharges of deep‐seated mafic magma, were all critical for the formation of the Wunugetushan porphyry Cu‐Mo deposit. ABSTRACT The Wunugetushan (Wushan) porphyry Cu–Mo

ABSTRACT Introduction Bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality in preterm infants. Combining surfactant with budesonide has been proposed to prevent BPD, but results from existing randomised controlled trials (RCTs) are conflicting.

Using optimization tools to explore stratospheric aerosol injection strategies
Abstract. Stratospheric aerosol injection (SAI), as a possible supplement to emission reduction, has the potential to reduce some of the impacts associated with climate change. However, the outcomes will depend on how it is deployed: not just how much but also the latitudes of injection and the distribution of injection rates across those latitudes ...

Atmospheric Convection and Aerosol Absorption Boost Wildfire Smoke Injection
Smoke released from increasingly severe wildfires has exerted widening impacts on the climate, ecosystem, and human life. Precisely quantifying these effects requires accurately representing smoke injection height in climate and air quality models ...

Emissions of primary aerosol and precursor gases in the years 2000 and 1750 prescribed data-sets for AeroCom [PDF]
Inventories for global aerosol and aerosol precursor emissions have been collected (based on published inventories and published simulations), assessed and prepared for the year 2000 (present-day conditions) and for the year 1750 (pre-industrial ...

Aims Since their emergence on the drug market, synthetic cannabinoids (SC) are still gaining increasing importance in forensic toxicology. The representatives of the so‐called new psychoactive substances have in common that they have not undergone preclinical safety studies. Hence, knowledge on toxicokinetic (TK) data is sparse.

Background and Purpose Cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) is a ubiquitous second messenger involved in human (patho‐)physiology. Phosphodiesterase 5 (PDE5) is a major cGMP hydrolyzing enzyme in many cell types including vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs). Several highly selective PDE5 inhibitors are in clinical use. However, there are currently no
