Abstract As large wildfires become more frequent and severe in North America due to heightened fuel aridity and fire weather conditions driven by anthropogenic climate change, wildfire smoke has an increasingly important influence on air quality. Transported smoke can impact urban boundary layer ozone (O3) directly, via the entrainment of O3 formed in ...

Polymorph‐Specific Electronic Transduction in WO3 during Molecular Sensing
Metal‐oxide polymorphs with similar surface chemistry can nevertheless exhibit distinct sensing properties. In γ‐ and ε‐WO3, analyte adsorption appears comparable; yet, only ε‐WO3 induces a pronounced lattice electronic perturbation that accommodates charge in sub‐conduction band minimum states.

Mass Spectrometry in Chiral Analysis and Synthesis
Chiral molecules have the same mass, yet there are MS approaches that can distinguish chiral molecules. MS‐based chiral chemistry matters in fundamental physical experiments, industrial applications, and clinical analysis. ABSTRACT Mass spectrometry (MS) has a role to play in chiral chemistry, in part through methods based on microdroplets and non ...
