Solution‐Processed Two‐Dimensional Indium Oxide on Sodium‐Embedded Alumina for Reconfigurable Optoelectronic Synaptic Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Wafer‐scale two‐dimensioanl In2Se3 oxidized into InOx on sodium‐embedded beta‐alumina enables multifunctional reconfigurable electronics. Sodium ions accumulate within distinct spatial distribution under drain‐controlle and gate‐controlled operation. Drain‐control operation gives controllability of ultraviolet‐driven optoelectronic synaptic conductance

The FM/AFM bilayer Bethe lattice with FM or AFM interlayer interactions

open access: yesphysica status solidi (b), 2008
AbstractThe bilayer Bethe lattice with the Ising spins of the top layer having only ferromagnetic (FM) interactions and the spins of the bottom one having only antiferromagnetic (AFM) interactions were allowed to interact via the interlayer interaction either FM or AFM type.

Exploring an Alternative to mRNA Vaccine Cold Chain Storage: MRNA‐Lipid Nanoparticle Stability When Dried in a Polymer Matrix

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The nanostructure, size, and function of mRNA‐loaded lipid nanoparticles are evaluated before drying, within polymer microneedles, and after rehydration. The results reveal the polymer and LNP loadings required to recover nanostructure and preserve the delivery performance in dry‐state formulations.

Participation of {1 0 0} Slip System in Sliding Friction at (0 0 1), (1 1 1) and (1 1 0) Surfaces of Fluorite (CaF2) Crystal

open access: yesTribology Online, 2012
Indentation experiments and friction measurements were performed at three low index faces of fluorite (CaF2) crystal. Deformation patterns were analyzed by observing step structures with atomic force microscopy (AFM). Upon indentation at (0 0 1) surface,

Electrode and Microstructure Dependence of Oxygen Diffusion in Ferroelectric Hafnium Zirconium Oxide Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Significant nanoscale oxygen diffusion coefficient variations are measured in ferroelectric hafnium zirconium oxide films with grain boundaries and electrode interfaces exhibiting values 104 times larger than the grain cores. Overall coefficients are 10X larger for films prepared with metal nitride electrodes compared to refractory metals. New insights

A New Method for Characterization of Natural Zeolites and Organic Nanostructure using Atomic Force Microscopy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
In order to study and develop an economic solution to environmental pollution in water, a wide variety of materials were investigated. Natural zeolites emerge from that research as the best in class of this category.

Treatment efficiency of effluent prawn culture by wetland with floating aquatic macrophytes arranged in series

open access: yesBrazilian Journal of Biology
The efficiency of a series of wetland colonized with Eichhornia crassipes and Salvinia molesta to treat the effluent of a giant river prawn (Macrobrachium rosenbergii) broodstock pond was evaluated in this study.

Dipole‐Engineered Conductive Additives for Ultrastable Interphase Evolution in High‐Areal‐Capacity Silicon Anodes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In the work reported herein, dipole‐engineered sulfonated carbon nanofibers enable conductive additives to actively regulate interphase formation in silicon anodes. Polar sulfonyl groups guide electrolyte decomposition to form a compact LiF‐rich interphase while promoting robust integration with silicon.
