Clinical significance of Ag-NORs-staining in multiple myeloma.

Comparative cytogenetics of the ground frogs Eupsophus emiliopugini Formas, 1989 and E. vertebralis Grandison, 1961 (Alsodidae) with comments on their inter- and intraspecific chromosome differentiation [PDF]
South American frogs of the genus Eupsophus Fitzinger, 1843 comprise 10 species. Two of them, Eupsophus vertebralis Grandison, 1961 and E. emiliopugini Formas, 1989 belong to the Eupsophus vertebralis group, exhibiting 2n = 28.

Karyotypes and Ag‐NORs of five Heteronemiidae (Insecta Phasmatodea) from Somalia [PDF]
Abstract The karyotype and the NOR localization of five taxa of Heteronemiidae, belonging to the three genera known from Somalia are reported. The cytotaxonomy of stick insects in general and, in particular, of Heteronemiidae is rather poorly developed. The present paper aims to contribute to filling this gap.

Critical temperature modification of low dimensional superconductors by spin doping
Ion implantation of Fe and Mn into Al thin films was used for effective modification of Al superconductive properties. Critical temperature of the transition to superconducting state was found to decrease gradually with implanted Fe concentration. it was

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.
