HEMOLYSIS AND AGGLUTINATION IN TRANSPLANTATION [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the American Medical Association, 1915
In studies of the conditions incident to the cause of autolysis and the dissolution of the transplant, we devoted especial attention to the influence of hemolysis and agglutination on transplants. No question is more timely than that concerning the causes of their absorption. Most authors lay great stress on the importance of eliminating the two great

Serotypic and Genomic Diversity of Vibrio anguillarum in Rainbow Trout Farms in Turkey: Implications for Vibriosis Control and Vaccine Candidate Selection

open access: yesJournal of Fish Diseases, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Outbreaks of vibriosis caused by Vibrio anguillarum are a persistent constraint on rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) aquaculture. However, information on the population structure of field strains in Turkey has been lacking. Here, we report the first systematic serotypic, proteomic, and genomic characterization of 23 V.

Influence of nanohydroxyapatite mouthwash on the growth of Candida albicans biofilm on milled denture surfaces: An in vitro study

open access: yesJournal of Prosthodontics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose There is a need for effective solutions for the persistent prevalence of denture stomatitis (DS) in denture‐wearing populations. This study assessed the impact of nanohydroxyapatite (nanoHAP) nanoparticles on Candida albicans biofilm formation on milled polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) denture bases.

Evaluation of point‐of‐care versus laboratory antiglobulin‐enhanced major crossmatch testing in cats

open access: yesJournal of Small Animal Practice, EarlyView.
Objectives It is recommended that all cats, regardless of transfusion history, undergo major crossmatch prior to blood product administration to decrease the likelihood of immunological transfusion reactions. A reliable and user‐friendly point‐of‐care crossmatch test would help make crossmatch testing more accessible.

Optimising the workflow for infant ABO blood typing: The role of automated analyser and a manual reflex protocol

open access: yesTransfusion Medicine, EarlyView.
Abstract Objectives We aimed to optimise the infant ABO typing workflow by evaluating the performance of the ORTHO VISION analyser (VISION; QuidelOrtho, San Diego, CA, USA) and establishing a targeted manual reflex protocol. Background The application of automated analysers in infants poses challenges due to weak antigen and antibody expression ...
