The power of microRNA regulation—insights into immunity and metabolism
MicroRNAs are emerging as crucial regulators at the intersection of metabolism and immunity. This review examines how miRNAs coordinate glucose and lipid metabolism while simultaneously modulating T‐cell development and immune responses. Moreover, it highlights how cutting‐edge artificial intelligence applications can identify miRNA biomarkers ...

Energy-Aware Aggregation of Dynamic Temporal Workload in Data Centers [PDF]
Data center providers seek to minimize their total cost of ownership (TCO), while power consumption has become a social concern. We present formulations to minimize server energy consumption and server cost under three different data center server setups (homogeneous, heterogeneous, and hybrid hetero-homogeneous clusters) with dynamic temporal workload.

Microbial Extracellular Polymeric Substances: Ecological Function and Impact on Soil Aggregation
A wide range of microorganisms produce extracellular polymeric substances (EPS), highly hydrated polymers that are mainly composed of polysaccharides, proteins, and DNA. EPS are fundamental for microbial life and provide an ideal environment for chemical

Identification of novel small molecule inhibitors of ETS transcription factors
ETS transcription factors play an essential role in tumourigenesis and are indispensable for sprouting angiogenesis, a hallmark of cancer, which fuels tumour expansion and dissemination. Thus, targeting ETS transcription factor function could represent an effective, multifaceted strategy to block tumour growth. The evolutionarily conserved E‐Twenty‐Six

Stochastic Aggregation: Rate Equations Approach
We investigate a class of stochastic aggregation processes involving two types of clusters: active and passive. The mass distribution is obtained analytically for several aggregation rates.

The Saccharomyces cerevisiae amino acid transporter Lyp1 has a broad substrate spectrum
In Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Yeast Amino acid Transporter family members mediate the import of amino acids, ranging from substrate specialists to generalists. Here, we show that the specialist transporter, Lyp1, has a broader substrate spectrum than previously described, with affinity constants spanning from micromolar to millimolar.

Terminal Passivation–Induced Interface Decoupling for High‐Stability Two‐Dimensional Semiconductors
Two‐dimensional (2D) materials, such as MoS2, show exceptional potential for next‐generation electronics. However, the poor stability of these materials, particularly under long‐term operations and high temperature, impedes their practical applications ...

Spatial control of irreversible protein aggregation [PDF]
Liquid cellular compartments spatially segregate from the cytoplasm and can regulate aberrant protein aggregation, a process linked to several medical conditions, including Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases. Yet the mechanisms by which these droplet-like compartments affect protein aggregation remain unknown.
