IRF7 promotes glioma cell invasion by inhibiting AGO2 expression

open access: yesTumor Biology, 2015
Interferon regulatory factor 7 (IRF7) is the master transcription factor that plays a pivotal role in the transcriptional activation of type I interferon genes in the inflammatory response. Our previous study revealed that IRF7 is an important regulator of tumor progression via the expression of inflammatory cytokines in glioma.

MOV10 and FMRP Regulate AGO2 Association with MicroRNA Recognition Elements

open access: yesCell Reports, 2014
The fragile X mental retardation protein FMRP regulates translation of its bound mRNAs through incompletely defined mechanisms. FMRP has been linked to the microRNA pathway, and we show here that it associates with the RNA helicase MOV10, also associated with the microRNA pathway.

Comprehensive RNA dataset of AGO2 associated RNAs in Jurkat cells following miR-21 over-expression

open access: yesData in Brief, 2016
We set out to identify miR-21 targets in Jurkat cells using a high-throughput biochemical approach (10.1016/j.biochi.2014.09.021 [1]). Using a specific monoclonal antibody raised against AGO2, RISC complexes were immunopurified in Jurkat cells over ...

Phosphorylation of AGO2 by TBK1 Promotes the Formation of Oncogenic miRISC in NSCLC

open access: yesAdvanced Science
AbstractNon‐small‐cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is a highly lethal tumor that often develops resistance to targeted therapy. It is shown that Tank‐binding kinase 1 (TBK1) phosphorylates AGO2 at S417 (pS417‐AGO2), which promotes NSCLC progression by increasing the formation of microRNA‐induced silencing complex (miRISC). High levels of pS417‐AGO2 in clinical

Reactivity of human AGO2 monoclonal antibody 11A9 with the SWI/SNF complex: A case study for rigorously defining antibody selectivity

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2017
In this study, we originally aimed to characterize the potential role of Argonaute 2 (AGO2) in the nucleus, a key protein of the miRNA machinery. We combined Chromatin Immunoprecipitation (ChIP) with high throughput sequencing (ChIP-seq) and quantitative

Characterization of AGO2 complexes

open access: yes, 2013
Abstract The AGO2 protein is part of a highly conserved family of RNA-binding protein called Argonaute. This protein family plays a key role in gene expression regulation in association with different classes of small non-coding RNA (miRNA, siRNA, piRNA). In addition to the post-transcriptional regulation in the cytoplasm, AGO2 protein acts also in the
