Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

Development of model based sensors for the supervision of a solar dryer

open access: yes, 2011
Solar dryers are increasingly used in developing countries as an alternative to drying in open air, however the inherent variability of the drying conditions during day and along year drive the need for achieving low cost sensors that would enable to ...

Mass Transfer Study on Drying of Curdlan by Hot Air Coupled with Ultrasound and Infrared Irradiation and Quality Analysis

open access: yesShipin gongye ke-ji
Objective: Hot air coupled with ultrasound and infrared irradiation were used for the drying of curdlan. The drying mechanism and quality change of curdlan were explored under the multi-physical fields, so as to developing the green drying technology of ...

Numerical Investigation of Multiphase Transport Model for Hot-Air Drying of Food

open access: yesJournal of Agricultural Sciences, 2019
Drying is widely used to prevent microbial spoilage by evaporating the determined amount of liquid in the food sample. In order to reduce energy consumption and increase food flavor quality, modeling the drying process is crucial.

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Simulation of mixed-mode solar dryer with vertical air distribution channel

open access: yesHeliyon, 2022
Final quality of product in drying process significantly depends on the flow behavior of drying air. The main drawback of conventional solar dryers is the non-uniformity of air flow inside the drying chamber.

Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.

Influence of air flow rate on drying characteristics of clove [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Clove is one of the major state crops in South Sulawesi, Indonesia. In 2011 total planted area in this region reached about 44,000 hectares. Although drying is a crucial step, information concerning the drying behaviors of clove is limited. This research

Drying, a practical technology for reduction of poultry litter (environmental) pollution: methods and their effects on important parameters

open access: yesPoultry Science
: Poultry farming generates significant poultry litter (broiler litter and laying hen manure), posing environmental and human health risks. Heat treatment, particularly through drying, can mitigate these adverse effects.

Browning mechanism and process optimization during MaizeMaize KX7349 Drying

open access: yesJulius-Kühn-Archiv, 2018
Browning of KX7349 maize during drying occurred mainly in the pericarp layer. Browning was caused by oxidation of water soluble matter in the pericarp layer. Moisture content had no significant influence on browning rate.
