Analytical investigation of the armature current influence on the torque and radial force in eccentric consequent‐pole PM machines

open access: yesIET Electric Power Applications, 2021
In this work, the electromagnetic torque and the unbalanced magnetic force (UMF) in eccentric consequent pole PM (CPPM) machines are investigated. For this investigation, in the first part of the paper, an exact analytical model is provided for the CPPM ...

Inner-Ear Disorders Presenting with Air–Bone Gaps: A Review

open access: yes, 2020
Air–bone gaps (ABGs) are commonly found in patients with conductive or mixed hearing loss generally due to outer- and/or middle-ear diseases such as otitis externa, tympanic membrane perforation, interruption or fixation of the ossicular chain, and ...

Flux concentrated doubly salient linear permanent magnet machine

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
Different topologies of Vernier permanent magnet (PM) machines have been proposed for direct drive low-speed applications due to their high thrust and power density. However, this type of machine can suffer from low power factor (PF).

A novel high torque density six‐phase axial‐flux permanent magnet synchronous motor with 60° phase‐belt toroidal winding configuration

open access: yesIET Electric Power Applications, 2022
The three‐phase permanent magnet synchronous motor (three‐phase PMSM) has gained much popularity in many applications due to its various advantages. In addition, due to the good fault tolerance, simple inverter circuit structure and high torque density ...

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Cell geometry and membrane protein crowding constrain Escherichia coli growth rate, overflow metabolism, respiration, and maintenance energy

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The physical dimensions and shape of bacterial cells define the surface area available to acquire nutrients and the volume available for synthesizing proteins and DNA. Here, we use computational systems biology to decode the importance of cell geometry as a major determinant of prokaryotic phenotype, including growth rate and metabolic efficiency. This

Study on the breakdown characteristics of conductor-plane gap under vegetation fire condition based on the combustion features

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
The frequent forest fires become a serious threat to the performance of transmission lines’ external insulation, therefore, researches on the breakdown characteristics under flame conditions is of great significance for the transmission lines ...

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.
