Effects of copper and Al2O3 particles on characteristics of Cu–Al2O3 composites
Materials & Design, 2010Abstract High-energy milling was used for production of Cu–Al 2 O 3 composites. The inert gas-atomized prealloyed copper powder containing 2 wt.%Al and the mixture of the different sized electrolytic copper powders with 4 wt.% commercial Al 2 O 3 powders served as starting materials.

R-Curves in Al2O3 - Al2O3/ZrO2 laminates
2005In order to better understand the fracture behavior of Al2O3-Al2O3/ZrO2 laminates, controlled crack growth experiments were carried out. The method proposed consists of a three-point bending test of a sandwich beam in which a notched specimen is located in between two metallic bars.

Calorimetric Study of Interaction Between Oxygen and β-Al2O3, β-Al2O3+Au and β-Al2O3+Pt
Journal of Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry, 2002In an attempt to improve the understanding of the electrochemical effects observed on an original potentiometric gas sensor, interactions of oxygen with the device were investigated. These calorimetric measurements have evidenced the existence of a weakly bounded endothermal oxygen species.

In-Situ Reaction Depposition Coating of LaPO4 on Al2O3 Fabric Cloth for Al2O3/Al2O3 Composites
2008In-situ reaction deposition, a liquid-phase coating method, was applied to coat monazite (LaPO 4 ) on alumina fabric cloth for improving the uniformity of coating. Coating was characterized for thickness, microstructure and composition by SEM, XRD and EDS. Stability of the coating was estimated by heat exposure at 1200 °C for 48 h in air.

Effect of Al2O3 on mechanical properties of Ti3SiC2/Al2O3 composite
Ceramics International, 2002Abstract The effect of Al 2 O 3 on mechanical properties of Ti 3 SiC 2 /Al 2 O 3 composite fabricated by SPS was studied systematically. The results show that the hardness of the Ti 3 SiC 2 /Al 2 O 3 composite can reach 10.28 GPa, 50% higher than that of pure Ti 3 SiC 2 .
