Abstract Barrow Canyon is a major conduit through which Pacific‐origin water enters the Arctic Basin. Mooring data acquired across the mouth of Barrow Canyon from 2000 to 2022 have enabled direct computation of seawater transports. No significant decadal trend in volume transport of Barrow Canyon throughflow was observed, although an upward trend of ...

Wind Forcing and Warm Water Upwelling in a Recurring Beaufort Shelf Polynya
Abstract The Beaufort Shelf has historically been reported to exhibit limited polynya activity in winter. Yet, recent satellite observations show episodic recurrence of a large polynya west of Mackenzie Canyon, a site of significant shelf‐basin exchange.

Abstract Primitive asteroids and carbonaceous chondrites (CCs) record the history of processes in the early solar system. Visible and shortwave infrared (VSWIR) spectroscopy of primitive asteroids and bulk‐powdered CCs has identified shared spectral features suggestive of shared parent body origins.

Abstract This is the second part of an investigation of water vapor in the Martian atmosphere using solar occultation observations by the Nadir and Occultation for MArs Discovery (NOMAD) spectrometer on board the ExoMars Trace Gas Orbiter. Following the analysis of six Earth years of NOMAD observations performed in the first part, a cross‐validation ...

Abstract The formation of gullies on Mars has often been attributed to the melting of (sub)surface water ice. However, melting‐based hypotheses generally overlook key processes: (a) sublimation cooling by latent heat absorption, (b) the non‐stability of ice where melting conditions can be reached, and (c) the particular microclimates of gullied slopes.
